CITY RECORDS
The City Clerk’s office is responsible to maintain the City records, which
includes all actions of the City Council and Planning Commission, as well as
deeds, easements, contracts and other general records. Records are also kept
for Oakwood Cemetery. For Planning Commission records contact extension
2216. For other City records contact extension 2209.
ELECTIONS AND VOTER REGISTRATION
The City Clerk’s office conducts all elections in the city for school,
local, State and Federal elections. Absentee ballots for these elections are
issued by the clerk’s office. Voter registration records are maintained by
the Clerk’s office using the state-wide Qualified Voter File. For voter
registration and absentee ballots contact extensions 2216 and 2214.
OAKWOOD CEMETERY
The City Clerk’s office maintains the records for Oakwood Cemetery.
Arrangements for an interment or installation of a foundation for a monument
is handled by the Clerk’s office personnel. The Clerk’s office handles all
sales and/or transfer of ownership for cemetery spaces. Genealogy record
searches of the Cemetery are provided for a fee. For assistance with Oakwood

PASSPORT SERVICES
The City Clerk’s office oversees the filing of passport
applications. Passport applications are available at the Municipal office or
on line at www.travel.state.gov.
The City of Saline has seven passport agents and it is not necessary to make
an appointment. Passport applications are processed between 9:00 a.m. and
4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. For special situations please call
734-429-4907 extension 2214, 2216 or 2209 to make an appointment. Passport
photographs can be taken at the Municipal office and the charge for one set
(2 photos) is $11.00. The City of Saline and the U.S. Department of State
cannot accept charge card payments. City fees for passport processing and
photos may be paid by cash or check. The U.S. Department of State will
accept a check, money order or certified check. We cannot mail cash. To help
us serve you better, please have your Application completed in black or blue
ink using capital letters and bring the required documents with you
(previous passport, birth certificate with raised seal, driver’s license, or
other documents as required). For additional information, please contact the
