Environmental Commission

The Saline Environmental Commission takes on several projects throughout the year, designed to directly improve and protect the quality of our community's natural environment, as well as educate the citizens of Saline and surrounding townships on how they can take action in their own homes to ensure that Saline continues to be an outstanding place to live, work and play for many generations to come.

This year we will educate the community on the environmental impact of drinking bottled water products, and on the comparative quality of Saline's tap water with pre-packaged waters. We will also be examining the issue of ambient light, working together with the parks commission to improve soil erosion at the Mill Pond Dog Park and taking on other important initiatives.
