Spring Update on Dog Park

As of Monday, April 21st,  the Dog Park at Millpond Park is still closed.  Staff has been monitoring the park to determine when it can reopen.  The turf is still very soft and will not sustain a lot of foot traffic.  Unfortunately, some are climbing over the fence and allowing their dogs into the dog park even though it is closed.  This has caused additional damage especially to the areas that were reseeded in the fall.  DPW crews will be top dressing, seeding those areas again this week.  We are as anxious as you to reopen the dog park.  As soon as the dog park is reopened, this website will be updated.  In the meantime, there are a couple of alternative dog parks that we can direct you to.  Copper Leaf Crossing at Pleasant Lake Rd/Saline Ann Arbor Rd, Ann Arbor Dog park at Ellsworth/Platt.
